Is the virgin birth of Yeshua a myth or fact?

Is the virgin birth of Yeshua a myth or fact?

Question

Shalom Pastor Ely

I am attending a congregation that started the Hebraic movement this past January and have just gone through The Feast of Tabernacles, at which time the pastor is expounding more on said feast to include the birth account of Yeshua. Taking into account what Matthew and Luke say about it. Pastor stated that the original scriptures stat it different and stated that Joseph and Mary had a sexual relationship that resulted in the birth of Yeshua. A reason for this, he says, is that Yeshua had to be born in this manner so that Yeshua could be counted in the linage of King David. I can’t wrap my mind around his account, because, wouldn’t that give Yeshua a sin nature that all we humans are born with? I know that all things are possible with God but it’s hard to allow this to sink into my spirit. please share with me what understanding you have on this subject. So far this pastor has taught God’s Word with great knowledge and understanding of God’s Word but I’m stomped and seek your counsel. Thank You Brother. Shalom

Answering your question in the order was presented.

“Pastor stated that the original scriptures stat it different and stated that Joseph and Mary had a sexual relationship that resulted in the birth of Yeshua”.

The original scriptures? which scriptures? Mathew Shem Tov? Mathew Shem tov author was not a follower of Messiah and the reason why he wrote “this gospel” Matthew Shem tov, and the same with many other authors with books like the Du Tillet Matthew, the Münster Matthew, was just books written by anti-missionaries in the rabbinical arena to put into question the divinity of Yeshua. There’s no evidence of any earlier or any Hebrew Mathew. These are rabbinical versions translated from the Greek or Latin of the canonical Matthew, for the purpose of Jewish apologetics.

“A reason for this, he says, is that Yeshua had to be born in this manner so that Yeshua could be counted in the linage of King David”.

This statement is not only false, but also comes with a very poor understanding of the Laws of adoption and the linage of Joseph and Miriam. According to the very narrative that we see in Mat and Luke the genealogies not only speak about Josephs lineage, but also Miriam. Yeshua needed to be, as Romans 1:3 confirms, of the seed of David according to the flesh. “According to the flesh” clearly refers to his physical descend in which from the human side indeed only Mary had part, because she became pregnant by God’s working (“of the holy spirit” — Mat 1:18). This makes it necessary that Mary needed to be of the house and seed of David, and that is exactly what the genealogy given in Matthew 1:1-16 shows, as I have already pointed out in a previous book I wrote title “El Sacerdocio de MalkiTzaddik”.
Mary or  Princess Miriam (how I call her) not was the Granddaughter of a High Priest from the Tzadokite priesthood named Yeshua III, but was also of the house of David, by Alexander III “Helios” biblical know as Heli, Father of Hannah and was of the royal lineage through David’s son Solomon, which gave Yeshua based on his descend “according to the flesh” the full rights to the throne of his father David (Mat 1:6). Joseph, the husband of Mary, was also of the house of David, but of a different line through David’s son Nathan (Luk 3:31).
Miriam was the only child in a family with no male heirs of the family House of Heli in the Gospel of Luke in the Brit Chadashah.  In the Jewish laws of inheritance, Mary was able to transfer her royal Davidian heritage to Prince Joseph, including her Levitical heritage through her royal heritage.  By Torah law, Prince Joseph ben Jacob, became the son of Heli and could be known as Prince Joseph ben Heli.

You can get more info on this matter in my book “El Sacerdocio de MalkiTzaddik”

“I can’t wrap my mind around his account, because, wouldn’t that give Yeshua a sin nature that all we humans are born with?”
This is exactly why his blood is precious! If his blood was common, then why his sacrifice?

Keep in mind that many who pursue this mentality happen to have the same mentality of the Ebionite Jews in the 1st century. They regarded Yeshua as the Messiah while rejecting his divinity, pre-existence and his virgin birth. They also consider Rav Shaul as a false prophet. This is so contradicted to the entire counsel of scriptures staring with the Torah, the prophets and many more witnesses in the brit Chadashah.

From the very beginning in the Torah we see the pre-existences of Messiah, and John clarifies this issue in his very first chapter… “in the beginning”.

Many will argue also that the prophecy of Isaiah 7 is not about a virgin but a young woman. This is also false since the prophecy makes it clear in the Aramaic, Hebrew, and Greek. Also in the 1st Century the expectation of melekh mashiach was related also to this very principle of a virgin birth. They will try to make the argument that the word עַלְמָה `almah is a young woman. Well according to the context of the word is a marriageable age girl which by results NEEDS TO BE A VIRGIN! In other words, there is no instance neither a single verse in scripture where it can be proved that this word designates a young woman who is not a virgin.

This is the same issue we notice in the book of Hebrews when it mentions the following.

And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.” Hebrews 1:6

This verse depends on this verse from the Torah

“Rejoice, heavens, with him, and may all the angels of God worship him; (Deuteronomy 32:43 Brenton LXX)

But when you go to the Masoretic text, you’ll see an entirely different verse!

Rejoice, you nations, with his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants; he will take vengeance on his enemies and make atonement for his land and people. -Deuteronomy 32:43

And why this is important? Because just like this verse, there’s 100s of more that speak about not only the virgin birth of Messiah, but also his divinity and preexistence. It is obvious that the Masoretic text has being manipulated over the years by the scribes to keep their own agenda of a non-divine, political Messiah.
